When is the fair?
The 82nd annual Lake County Fair is July 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and August 1, 2010

What are the hours of the fair?
The gates open at 8am, although the hours vendors open is 10am - 11pm

Where is the fair?
The fair is located approximately 40 miles north of Chicago and approximately 56 miles south of Milwaukee.  Please click on general information for map.

How do I buy tickets and how much are they?
You can buy tickets prior to fair in the fair office or at the gate during the fair. 
Adults: $10  Children 5-12: $5 under 4: free
Seniors: $5  Uniformed Military: free or with
Military ID: $5

Is it free to park?
Yes, there is free parking. However, we also have preferred parking for $5.

Is there handicapped parking?
We have up front, or closer up parking for people with (any) state issued handicap parking sticker displayed in their car.

Will there be wheelchairs available for rent? 
Yes, Lang Home Medical will be located near Gate #2 with wheelchairs available for $15 per day

How do I volunteer to work at the fair?
The best way to volunteer at the fair is to email us at info@lcfair.com or by calling the fair office at #847-680-7200

How do I apply to become a vendor at the fair? 
You can download a vendor application and either email, fax, or mail to the fair office

What is there to do at the fair?
The fun begins when you come through the gate!  You can watch Pro Motocross, truck & tractor pulls, PRCA Rodeo's, Demo Derby. You can buy many crafts, jewelry, and other items from the many vendors in the Expo Building, and on the grounds.  You can eat delicious foods from a variety of food vendors thinking you can't eat another bite, and then you spot a dessert you can't resist. You can be sure you'll have a great time on the carnival rides or playing games on the midway, and this year Bingo is back!

Can I bring alcohol to the fair?

No, but while you're here you can enjoy the beer gardens and music.

What can I buy at the fair?

There are hundreds of booths with everything from tasty foods, crafts, jewelry and many other goods, as well as informational booths.  They are located in the Expo building and throughout the grounds.

What types of foods are at the fair?

Everything from Italian, Mexican, Greek, Chinese, and many others including corn dogs, burgers, breakfast foods, smoothies, popcorn, funnel cakes and so much more!

What kind of entertainment is at the fair?

Many varieties of bands including country, rock n roll, dueling pianos, line dancing, belly dancer too!  You will find a complete list on our schedule of events available online approximately June 1st

Do you have a first aid station at the fair?

Yes, staffed by Emergency Medical Technicians who are here during all fair hours.

Do you have security at the fair?

Yes, there is 24 hour security here at the fair by the Lake County Sheriff's department and ASI security to provide security for the fairgoers, help with lost children etc.

Do you have hand washing stations?

Yes, they will be located by the barns, petting zoo, restrooms inside and out, and various locations by porta potties.

Do you have ATM's at the fair?

Yes, there are ATM's at the main gate and in the Expo building for your use.

Can I bring my dog?

No, only service dogs are allowed at the fair
