Feed my Starving Children, is a Christian nonprofit organization that has developed a safe, simple to prepare and culturally acceptable food mixture, and a cost-effective way of packaging it using volunteer packers. This approach produces meals in quantities that make a real difference in alleviating world hunger.

In 2008, more than 310,000 volunteers joined Feed My Starving Children to package 73.6 million meals for children around the world. The event co-sponsored by Holy Cross last year, included 1553 volunteers who packaged 312,600 meals which fed 856 children for one year! If you missed last year’s packing event co-sponsored by Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Feed My Starving Children, you will get another chance to participate this year. Mark your calendars! This year’s event will be December 4th, 5th and 6th at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Our goal is to pack 1,000,000 meals for distribution throughout the world.

Between now and then, prayerfully consider how you can make a difference! You can help by volunteering your time, contributing financially, spreading the word, organizing groups you are involved with - schools, sports, fine arts, professional and community groups, etc. This volunteer event would make a great birthday party or team building event!
